Then there's me - on something like my 15th visit (I really have lost count). Rhiannon has come to the Fair with me about half a dozen times, but for the last three years my companion has been fellow-writer and journalist Lucy Coats ( left), who covers the Fair for Publishing Talk. ![]() Last Sunday, I met up at Terminal 5 with three other writers of varying degrees of Bologna experience: it was a first for Frances Hardinge, the author of such highly individual novels for younger readers as Fly-by-Night and Face of Glass.įrances is a close friend of writer Rhiannon Lassiter (the Hex trilogy Ghost of a Chance), who also happens to be my daughter.
